After expanding from Melbourne to Amsterdam, Ikigai invites Berlin-based Franziska Berns to the warehouse on June 6th.

Finding the space between house and techno with fluid precision, Franziska has been on our agenda for a long time. The distance has closed and the timing is right!

Rooted in four-to-the-floor and understated tension, Franziska’s calm presence behind the booth is in direct contrast to the storm that floods through the speakers. A long-time resident of Offenbach club Robert Johnson, she’s recently been heard guiding dancers deep into the morning from the booth at Berghain’s Panorama Bar.

For an extended 3.5-hour opening set, Ikigai co-founder Kithers goes head-to-head with Berlin-based DJ Royston Bassmann ahead of the label’s debut release this July.

Moving through early-2000s house, electro and hazy mind-benders, the pair will ease the floor into motion before handing the room over to Franziska.
