Gentle Reminder returns to Paloma for its fourth edition, this time shifting with the season. As we settle into early summer, we’re moving from the afternoon tea dance format for a later start and a more intimate approach: one dance floor, beginning at 17:00, and going later.
Founded by Robert Yang (Bézier, former co-owner of San Francisco’s Honey Soundsystem), Lennard (Len.Leo), and Chris Moore (electroponce, organizer of Seattle’s High+Tight and FANCYFEAST events), Gentle Reminder was built around a simple idea: creating dance floors that feel warm and open to all. Now based in Germany, the trio draws inspiration from the lineage of American gay tea dances, from the Continental Baths to San Francisco’s End Up and I-Beam.
At its core, Gentle Reminder is about movement as a form of connection. Each edition invites artists from different communities and backgrounds to shape the room through sound, creating moments of intimacy, release, and unexpected togetherness.
