Real Techno presents Alex Hazzard

Alex Hazzard has been immersed in underground electronic music since the late '80s, emerging during the formative years of UK techno and remaining committed to its evolution ever since.

A DJ, producer and lifelong record collector, his approach has always been driven by the underground rather than the mainstream. Decades spent behind the decks and in the studio have shaped a style built on groove, tension and subtle progression—music designed for long blends, tight mixes, dark rooms and powerful sound systems.

During the 1990s, Alex was a resident DJ at Eurobeat 2000, widely regarded as the UK's longest-running pure techno club night. Alongside appearances across the UK, Europe and Japan, he has released music across four decades under several aliases, evolving from early UK techno and rave into the deep, hypnotic and groove-led sound that defines his work today.

More than thirty-five years after his first sets, Alex Hazzard continues to discover, produce and champion underground techno with the same passion that first drew him to the music. His philosophy remains unchanged: let the records breathe, trust the groove, go dreamy and hard.
