Contagious Concert Series - Partners in Crime IV feat. Lorena Izquierdo

The fourth edition of the concert series Partners in Crime once again focuses on distinctive female musicians. The trio Contagious is a solid blending of avant-garde experimentation and electronic music. For the concert series, they invite three remarkable female artists with diverse backgrounds. Their music brings together ideas from different musical scenes and artistic practices, including traditional Serbian music, poetry, jazz, sound art. Together, they explore the transformative power of improvisation and collective action.

Lorena Izquierdo Graduate in Philosophy and Art History, with a Master's degree in Artistic Practices in Fine Arts, specializing in performance art. A singer, vocalist, and poet born in Valencia, Spain. Trained in Butoh dance and improvisation. Studied cello, singing, and photography. Her work focuses on performance art and the voice as a body connected to actions, poetry, philosophy, and free improvisation. She works with distinct artistic codes—music, words, objects, and movement—that are usually defined separately, and inhabits the border zone between different art forms as a space of dissidence or transposition of limits. She also writes and conducts theoretical research on experimental art.
